Basmati Rice Soup

Today, our Vaidya Sajin Philip shares a recipe to rebalance your food dietetics : the Rice Basmati Soup. This recipe is really good if you suffer from undernourishment because its energetic contribution is importan. If you have a lack of energy of if you need to detox your body, this soup is exactly what you need. It helps rebalancing your body. It is also recommanded during recovery processes.

 

The Basmati Rice Soup is good for :

1. Improving the digestive fire
2. Getting rid of toxins
3. Stopping constipation
4. Gaining energy
5. Eliminate water retention.


 


Ingredients (for 2 persons) : 


- 1 cup of rice basmati
- 16 cups of water
- 1 teaspoon of ghee butter
- 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds
- 1 tablespoon of grated coconut
- Coriander /thymian
- Himalayan salt (as required)

 

Preparation :

Wash rice, add 16 cups water and cook on medium heat in a deep pot with open lid. Stir every five minutes with a whisk. After about 15 minutes of cooking, heat the ghee with the sesame seeds in a frying pan, take two ladles of rice soup from the pot and cook it in the pan for about three minutes: then put it all back in the rice pot. At the end, add salt and fresh herbs like coriander leaves / thymian. The soup is ready once the rice is really soft.
